Hua Hin is a popular tourist destination in Thailand. There are many reasons for this, beautiful tropical landscapes, long sandy beaches and the many interesting sights and activities that are available here and in the region. The city offers a unique atmosphere with its mix of friendly locals, tourists and long-term residents. After all, Hua Hin used to be the residence of the late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej for many decades.
No wonder Hua Hin has also become popular among older people and retirees from Europe in recent years. The good range of shops and malls, restaurants with a selection of international cuisines and not least the excellent health care available have contributed significantly to make Hua Hin so attractive. Despite the rapid growth of recent years, Hua Hin has remained a comprehensible town and been spared from certain tourist excesses of other destinations. The city is and remains popular with many Thais, especially the middle class of Bangkok, who regularly enjoy a shorter or longer break away from the stressful capital.
